Britney Spears has sold her music catalog, PEOPLE has learned
The pop star sold her catalog to music publisher Primary Wave
Primary Wave currently owns the catalogs of Prince, Bob Marley, Stevie Nicks and Whitney Houston
Britney Spears is making moves.
The singer, 44, has sold her music catalog, PEOPLE has learned.
TMZ was first to report the news on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The outlet reviewed legal documents stating that Spears sold ownership of her catalog to music publisher Primary Wave on Dec. 30.
It is unclear how much the popstar was paid for her music.
The deal reportedly includes several of her major hits, including "...Baby One More Time," "Circus," "Womanizer" and more.

Reps for Spears and Primary Wave did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Primary Wave, according to its website, currently owns the catalogs of Prince, Bob Marley, Stevie Nicks and Whitney Houston, among others.
Spears has released a total of nine studio albums, spanning from 1999's ..Baby One More Time to 2016’s Glory. She has sold nearly 150 million records worldwide, per Sony Music.
On Jan. 8, the singer shared a throwback photo on Instagram from her performance of "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" at the 29th Annual American Music Awards in 2022 along with a caption about her mindset towards returning to the stage.

"I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons, but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon," she wrote at the time.
Spears didn't specify which of her two sons, 20-year-old Sean Preston or 19-year-old Jayden Jayden, she was referring to in the post, though she has shared social media content featuring his piano skills in the past. But the proud mom continued, "He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!!"
"God speed, little man!!!" she added.
