It's interesting to see the next generation of musicians and which ones are children of famous artists. Violet Grohl is the 19-year-old daughter of Dave Grohl. He began as the drummer of Nirvana and became the founder of The Foo Fighters. The daughter's songs were previously available only through Bandcamp, but now people can enjoy the music video for "Thum" on YouTube.

The video takes place in a small bedroom full of clothes, Polaroid pictures on the wall, and candles. Grohl looks entranced by a small television with a static screen. The television shows Grohl in a vintage lace wedding gown and veil. The lyrics depict a picture of anxiety and nail-biting. Nikki Milan Houston directed and edited the music video.

Grohl is signed to Republic Records/Island EMI, and her debut album will be released through her own Auroura Records imprint. "From the moment we met Violet, it was clear that she represents the next generation of artists," Kristina Grossmann, Senior Vice President of A&R at Republic said, according to Louder Sound. "The music is immediate, intentional and her voice holds a rare duality." She described her as "unapologetically cool and is a fearless female voice."

Grohl previously teamed up with Gary Numan's daughter Persia for a David Lynch tribute. The track is named "What's Heaven Without You." It's unknown who else she will collaborate with on the album. She already worked with her father through a feature on Foo Fighters song "Show Me How." Violet performed it on stage with the band a couple times.

The father has four children: Violet, Harper,Ophelia, and the fourth child's name is unknown. Harper, 15, is also an artist and drew the cover of the Foo Fighters single, "Today’s Song." She sang with her father and sister on stage.
