“Harry Potter” star Bonnie Wright announces she's pregnant with second child

Bonnie Wright is getting ready to welcome a new member into her family.

The Harry Potter actress, who appeared across the eight-film franchise as Ginny Weasley, revealed Sunday that she is pregnant with her second child.

Wright, 35, shared the news by posting a sweet snap of herself on the couch with her 2-year-old son, Elio Ocean Wright Lococo, whom she shares with husband Andrew Lococo. The photo sees Elio asleep on her chest, with his head against her visible baby bump.

“Two babies on my lap," she captioned the photo. "Our second little earthling joining us this autumn."

In the comments section, fans and friends celebrated the news while wishing Wright well.

"Another lovely Weasley," one Instagram user joked. Another wrote, "Such sweet news!"

Among the well-wishers was Wright's Harry Potter costar, Evanna Lynch (who portrayed Luna Lovegood). She wrote, "Ahhh congratulations Bonnie!!!"

Wright and Lococo met in 2020 and tied the knot two years later. In 2023, they welcomed Elio into the family.

Speaking to PEOPLE 11 months after Elio's birth, Wright shared that she doesn't expect to be introducing her son to the Wizarding World until he's at least five.

"I'm counting down my four years now," she joked at the time. "I've got to wait, but I can't wait. I mean, I love having them read out loud. I love the audiobooks. So let's hope he's a fan."

As for whether the rest of her family would be joining her in Gryffindor (a Weasley tradition), Wright told the outlet, "I think my husband is a Hufflepuff. He doesn't quite understand the importance of him being sorted— I've sorted him in Hufflepuff."

As for Elio, Wright hinted that he may be wearing green robes to Hogwarts — but added that his personality is still emerging.

"I thought Elio was a Hufflepuff, but I'm not sure now,” she said. "I'm hoping he'll be a Slytherin, but I also can't project. I've got to let him be himself."

More recently, Wright gushed to PEOPLE about the joys of being a new mom, sharing that the family has entered a fun new stage in life now that Elio is beginning to walk and talk.

"He's such a mover and he's climbing," she shared. "He's just more out in the world. It's so fun because now, the imagination comes in."
