PEOPLE is debuting the exclusive first trailer for Influencers, a sequel to Shudder's 2023 hit thriller Influencer

Cassandra Naud reprises her role as CW, who has a knack for murder and identity theft

Barbarian actress Georgina Campbell also stars in the film, from writer-director Kurtis David Harder

Cassandra Naud is back as a killer travel influencer whose bloody past is catching up with her.

PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for Influencers, a follow-up to Shudder's hit 2023 thriller Influencer.

This time, antagonist CW, played by Naud, is living a "quiet, idyllic life with her girlfriend Diane (Lisa Delamar) in the sun-drenched countryside of southern France — hiding a dark obsession with murder and stolen identities," per a synopsis.

Enter Charlotte, played by Barbarian actress Georgina Campbell, and a "bold, alluring influencer whose curiosity quickly turns intrusive."

Naud tells PEOPLE she had "all my limbs crossed for a sequel" after making the first film.

"When our director [Kurtis David Harder] sent me the first 30 pages of the new script, it was so exciting," she says. "Getting the chance to travel the world and make a movie with people you love a second time was incredibly special."

The new film — which was filmed across North America, the South of France, Paris and Bali — also stars Emily Tennant, Jonathan Whitesell, Veronica Long and Dylan Playfair.

"We really wanted to ensure this sequel felt like a level up from the first film, and I can confidently say we all stepped up our game and made something that will blow audiences' minds," says Naud.

Harder, the returning writer-director, says, "Get ready for our femme fatale to take you on the ride of your life," while adding of Naud's performance: "Cassandra breathes such life into her character and brings this epic globetrotting tale to life."

Naud says playing CW is "such a dream" because the character is "complicated, smart, cool and collected."

"I actually aspire to be more like her —minus the killing part!" Naud jokes. "She constantly pushes me out of my comfort zone, and playing her has made me a better, more confident actor."

The star teases, "I don’t think the fans are ready for this one. I’m so excited for everyone to see a different side of CW, one they probably won’t expect."
