Lisa Kudrow is remembering how talented her costar Alan Cumming was in their 1997 film, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.
Watching a clip of Cumming, now 61, in the film during an interview with Vanity Fair, 62-year-old Kudrow remarked: "Alan Cumming, come on. He's such a force."
"I was so thrilled that he was going to be in Romy and Michele," Kudrow added. "He was so good. And then getting to meet him — and he's so fun and light, so down to earth, but still like a little bit of that — oh, what is it? I don't know — joie de vivre."
Kudrow continued: "It's like Parker Posey. It's like they're an event, you know, in and of themselves."

The movie starred Kudrow and Mira Sorvino as the title characters, two Los Angeles-area women who resolve to pretend they are successful when they travel to Arizona to attend their 10-year high school reunion. Janeane Garofalo,, Justin Theroux and Elaine Hendrix also starred in the movie.

Kudrow's costar in the film — Sorvino — recently reflected on the cultural resonance of the film
Speaking on the Friday, March 20 episode of Sophia Bush's Work in Progress podcast, 58-year-old Sorvino described the film as "evergreen" and said that at a recent screening she and the film's screenwriter and producer Robin Schiff were treated like "rock stars."

Sorvino added: "I'm continuously amazed at how much this movie has meant to people in their lives."
In 2024, Sorvino confirmed that she and Kudrow, 62, are making a sequel of the film with 20th Century Studios back in January.
"Almost every single character from the original that was important is coming back," Sorvino told PEOPLE of the sequel during a November 2024 interview. "This is all pending, them making deals, them saying yes, but they're all in there."
