There is reportedly a possibility that Sarah Ferguson could have a plan to “embarrass” King Charles by deciding to speak out on her side of the story. The former Duchess of York and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, lost their royal titles and their long-time residence, the Royal Lodge on the grounds of Windsor Estate, after the news of their controversial past came to the surface.
As reported by RadarOnline, a source from the palace told them that “From the perspective of the royal household, the idea that this situation could spill into a tell-all book or television interview is deeply alarming.” By this, the source referred to what Ferguson might do next. The person further explained, “There is a real fear that any broadcast appearance would reopen wounds and create fresh embarrassment.”
In the meantime, another insider went on to say to the news outlet that ex-Prince Andrew “has already had ample opportunity to put his version of events into the public domain.” The person continued, “There is a growing feeling that it is now Sarah’s turn to speak, on her own terms.” According to the news outlet, senior royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, feel “alarmed” by this possibility. Meanwhile, another insider said to the news outlet that “There is genuine concern that Sarah could speak freely.” “In ways that might embarrass the King, the Queen, or other senior royals,” added the person.
