Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are still co-parenting their 1-year-old son, Ever, amid their ongoing domestic assault investigation, multiple sources have confirmed to PEOPLE.
On March 16, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” involving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, and her ex boyfriend, 33, adding that “allegations have been made in both directions" and "contact was made with involved parties on [Feb.] 24th and 25th."
Despite police involvement, multiple sources tell PEOPLE that the exes continue to co-parent their son, with Paul having majority custody. Paul also shares two kids — Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5 — with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.
Paul — who is set to premiere as the lead on The Bachelorette on March 22 — was previously arrested for alleged domestic violence in 2023 following an argument with Mortensen. She was accused of throwing a chair at Mortensen that allegedly hit her daughter. She was given misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child.

Paul pled guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault, which means that if she complies with the conditions of the plea, that charge will be dismissed. The other charges were dismissed.
A source close to Paul previously denied to PEOPLE that the reality TV star was “violent” during the February incidents and said that she remains “focused” on the upcoming Bachelorette premiere.
Reps for Paul, Mortensen, Hulu and ABC have not commented to PEOPLE.
On March 17, a source close to the situation told PEOPLE that those in Paul’s circle are concerned for her amid the ongoing investigation. “We’re all worried for Taylor’s well-being,” said the source. “We want Taylor to get the help she needs.”

In the wake of Paul and Mortensen’s domestic assault investigation, filming has stopped for the fifth season of Mormon Wives after cast members refused to work with Paul, multiple sources previously told PEOPLE.
"None of the women want to be associated with her," said a source close to the cast.

“The girls are very overwhelmed. They all banded together and they don’t want to come back right now," another source close to production told PEOPLE. “They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly."

"I don’t think they care about her really right now,” the source continued. “They're just kind of like, ‘We're done for right now.' "
News of Paul and Mortensen’s domestic assault investigation and the subsequent Mormon Wives production pause came on the heels of the reality series’ fourth season, which was released by Hulu on March 12.
The season continued to explore the pair’s rocky relationship, including the bombshell that Paul spent the night with Mortensen directly before she left for The Bachelorette. Viewers also saw a FaceTime call between the two after Paul lands in Los Angeles to film the ABC dating competition show, where Mortensen apologizes for several of his past actions and asks Paul to “save a rose” for him. (Though Paul thanks Mortensen over the phone for his apology, during a confessional, she says, "The apology is just words, like it always is.")
