*Survivor *just wrapped its landmark 50th season, for which the reality TV juggernaut gathered some of the most popular contestants of its entire run. That made this an ideal season for fans wanting to revisit their favorite legends from the past.

Why not keep this trip down memory lane going by seeing what's become of the winners of the show's first 50 seasons? Who became reality TV royalty? Who fell in love? And who completely changed their lives? Keep reading to find out.

Richard Hatch (season 1, Survivor: Borneo)

Richard Hatch is famous (some would say infamous) among the fandom for forming *Survivor*’s first alliance and becoming the inaugural Sole Survivor. He embraced life as a reality TV star, appearing on the show’s *All-Stars* season before popping up on *Celebrity Apprentice*, *The Biggest Loser*, and *House of Villians*.

The Rhode Island native was convicted of tax evasion in 2006 for not reporting his $1 million *Survivor* prize. Not long after serving 4 years in prison, he was sentenced to an additional 9-month term for failing to amend the tax returns in question.

Tina Wesson (season 2, Survivor: The Australian Outback)

Tina Wesson is another early *Survivor *celebrity, winning the Queensland-set second season, getting voted out first on *All-Stars*, and somehow getting voted out twice on *Blood vs. Water*. She has since written a book, 2006's *Out Live, Out Laugh, Out Love*.

The Knoxville native and her husband, Dale, live in a cabin they built in the woods near the Tennessee/North Carolina border. Wesson’s daughter, Katie Collins, competed alongside her on *Blood vs. Water*.

Ethan Zohn (season 3, Survivor: Africa)

Ethan Zohn is *Survivor *royalty. He won *Survivor: Africa* in 2002, then competed in 2004’s *All-Stars* and 2020’s fan-favorite *Winners at War*. Off-camera, he beat a rare form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and even used a portion of his *Survivor *winnings to co-found Grassroot Soccer, a youth-centered organization that works to help combat the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa.

His reality TV resume includes competing on *The Amazing Race* with then-girlfriend (and fellow *Survivor *alum) Jenna Morasca. He and his wife, Lisa Heywood, have been married since 2016 and live in Hillsborough, N.H.

Vecepia Towery (season 4, Survivor: Marquesas)

The first Black contestant to win *Survivor*, season 4 standout Vecepia Towery prevailed thanks to an under-the-radar tactical strategy, culminating in a slim final vote. She formed a close friendship with fellow *Marquesas *castaway Sean Rector, who later became godfather to her son, Jordan.

She hasn’t yet returned to the franchise, going back to a comparatively normal life, including a marriage to Leander Robinson. She lives in Hayward, Calif., and works in the health care industry. The Air Force vet also does service work helping fellow veterans.

Brian Heidik (season 5, Survivor: Thailand)

Brian Heidik earned a villainous reputation in the *Thailand *season, but it all paid off as he was the season’s last man standing, surprising no one.

He shares three children with his wife, Courtney, and has another child from a previous marriage. Heidik works as a car salesman in Savannah, Ga.

Jenna Morasca was just shy of 22 years old when she secured the final vote on *Survivor: The Amazon*, making her the youngest person to win the crown at the time. She returned to compete on *All-Stars*, but left after nine days to be with her mother, who was battling cancer.

The Pittsburgh native went on to appear on *Fear Factor *and *The Amazing Race*. She found herself back in the spotlight in 2018 when reports of an alleged DUI arrest circulated, though she denied being arrested to EW in 2021. In recent years, she has worked as a veterinary and ER nurse in Pennsylvania.

Sandra Diaz-Twine (season 7, Survivor: Pearl Islands / season 20, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains)

Sandra Diaz-Twine made history by winning *Survivor *twice: first in *Pearl Islands* and again in *Heroes vs. Villains.* She soon became a regular presence, appearing on *Game Changers* and *Winners at War* before serving as a mentor on *Island of the Idols.*

Diaz-Twine expanded her franchise footprint by competing on *Australian Survivor:* *Blood vs. Water* with her daughter, Nina Twine. Mother and daughter are back on reality TV, this time as companions to Nina’s boyfriend Eric on *Extracted *season 2. Diaz-Twine also competed as a faithful on *The Traitors *season 2.

She and her husband, Marcus, live in Fayetteville, N.C.

Amber Brkich (season 8, Survivor: All-Stars)

Amber Brkich made her series debut on *Survivor: The Australian Outback*. She didn’t go all the way that time, but made up for it on *All-Stars*. Her season was also a memorable love story, as she fell for fellow contestant “Boston Rob” Mariano.

He proposed during the finale and she accepted. (Then she defeated him in the final vote.) The two got married the following year, competed on *The Amazing Race*, and raised four daughters in Pensacola, Fla. The couple also competed together on the *Winners at War *season.

Chris Daugherty (season 9, Survivor: Vanuatu)

Chris Daugherty won *Vanuatu – Islands of Fire* in 2004, but decided not to make reality television an ongoing vocation. Instead, he used his winnings to build a house and married Lorie Groves in 2005. The two enjoy a relatively quiet life in Ohio, with Daugherty working for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Tom Westman (season 10, Survivor: Palau)

Tom Westman was a firefighter when he became a reality TV legend, winning *Survivor: Palau* in 2005 before returning in 2010 for *Heroes vs. Villains*.

Following his first victory, he retired from firefighting and took up a new career as an insurance salesman in Sayville, N.Y. Ironically, he never brags about his *Survivor *victory to clients because he’s worried they will think he’s a backstabber rather than a trustworthy agent.

He and his wife, Bernadette, have three children.

Danni Boatwright (season 11, Survivor: Guatemala)

By the time she won *Survivor* on season 11’s *Guatemala *edition, Danni Boatwright was already a veteran of fierce competition. The Kansas native was the runner-up at the 1996 Miss USA pageant, just four years after her Miss Teen USA third-place finish.

Boatwright has since worked as a radio and TV personality in the Kansas City area. She has been married to former NFL lineman Casey Wiegmann since 2007 and they have two children.

Aras Baskauskas (season 12, Survivor: Panama)

Aras Baskauskas won *Panama – Exile Island* in 2006 and later competed on *Blood vs. Water* with his brother, Vytas. He didn’t win that game, but he did propose to his girlfriend, Christy Petersen. She said yes, and they are now raising two sons together.

Baskauskas and his wife have a clothing line, and he performs as a musician under the name “Odd Us.”

Yul Kwon (season 13, Survivor: Cook Islands)

For the *Cook Islands *edition, Yul Kwon used a combination of strategy and charisma to conquer *Survivor*’s first-ever Final Three. He later placed 14th on *Winners at War*. Beyond his TV triumph, Kwon has had a storied career. The Yale Law grad has been a lawyer, an FBI Academy instructor, an FCC deputy chief, a CNN correspondent, and even a frozen yogurt proprietor.

These days, he works for Google and lives in the Bay Area, according to his LinkedIn. He has been married to his wife, Sophie Tan, since 2009 and they have two children.

Earl Cole (season 14, Survivor: Fiji)

In 2007, Earl Cole became the first *Survivor *contestant to unanimously win the jury vote. He used his winnings to travel to over 40 countries, then went on to create the Perthes Kids Foundation, a charity helping those who suffer from Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. He also produced the 2020 documentary *Crutch.*

After marrying Shelley Lee in 2010 and fathering two daughters, he co-founded the SMART Tire Company, which focuses on airless bicycle tires.

Todd Herzog (season 15, Survivor: China)

Todd Herzog was an especially conniving contestant, but all the scheming paid off in the end. Though he never returned to compete on later editions, he dated fellow *Survivor *alumnus Spencer Duhm before marrying Jess Hermansen. Now, the Utah native is a toymaker. He’s even brought things full circle by transforming various *Survivor *contestants into custom Funko Pops.

Parvati Shallow (season 16, Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites)

Having first competed in *Cook Islands*, Parvati Shallow was nicknamed “the Black Widow” for her skills in manipulation. She got the last laugh by taking home the *Micronesia —* *Fans vs. Favorites* crown.

Parvati returned for later seasons (*Heroes vs. Villains* and *Winners at War*) and also competed as a traitor on season 2 of *The Traitors*. She’s continued to ramp up her reality TV presence, competing on both *Australian Survivor *and *Deal or No Deal Island *in 2025.

The Florida native married fellow *Survivor *veteran John Fincher in 2017 and they had a child. Shallow filed for divorce in 2021 and came out as queer in 2023.

Bob Crowley (season 17, Survivor: Gabon)

When Bob Crowley won *Survivor: Gabon* in 2008 at age 57, the former teacher became the oldest winner in the show’s history. He decided to give back to the community by starting the Durham Warriors Project, a nonprofit that supports disabled veterans. But he also took the time to build a year-round campground in Durham, Maine, named Maine Forest Yurts, where he lives and works with his wife and children.

J.T. Thomas (season 18, Survivor: Tocantins)

With sheer charm, J.T. Thomas won fans and fellow contestants over, achieving the series’ first-ever perfect game — no elimination votes the entire season plus a unanimous final jury vote — to claim the *Survivor: Tocantins *prize. He returned a couple of times, making less successful appearances on *Heroes vs. Villains* and *Game Changers*.

The Alabama native later married Cameron Bush — with a *Survivor *twist. The ceremony was officiated by his lifetime friend and fellow *Tocantins *contestant, Stephen Fishbach, whom he beat in the finale.

Natalie White (season 19, Survivor: Samoa)

In her own way, Natalie White is one of the most mysterious contestants. After winning *Survivor: Samoa* in 2009, she largely dropped out of the public eye. She did, however, take part in the 10-year anniversary party in 2010 and appeared on TV Guide Network to host a special preview for *Heroes vs. Villains*.

In a 2020 interview with EW, season 16’s Chet Welch said he was in touch with her, but offered no further information.

Jud Birza (season 21, Survivor: Nicaragua)

By winning the *Nicaragua *edition in 2010, Jud Birza dethroned Jenna Morasca as the youngest Sole Survivor in series history.

The Venice, Calif., native has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. He was a drummer for the band Space Funk Odyssey and landed a few small movie roles.

Rob Mariano (season 22, Survivor: Redemption Island)

“Boston Rob” may be the ultimate comeback kid. He previously competed on *Marquesas*, *All-Stars*, and *Heroes vs. Villains* before finally coming out on top, fittingly enough, on *Redemption Island*. He also served as a mentor on *Island of the Idols *alongside Sandra Diaz-Twine.

Off-camera, he married fellow *Survivor *winner Amber Brkich in 2005. The duo teamed up on *The Amazing Race* before squaring off against each other on *Survivor: Winners at War*. They are raising four daughters in Florida. Outside his reality TV gigs (including appearances on *Deal or No Deal Island* and *The Traitors*), he spends his time as a poker player.

Sophie Clarke (season 23, Survivor: South Pacific)

With her quick mind and wicked tongue, Sophie Clarke was able to claw her way to the top, ultimately winning* South Pacific* in 2011. She paid for med school with the prize money and later returned for *Winners at War* before marrying Robert Shady. They are raising a son and a daughter together in Cambridge, Mass.

Clarke is now the chief strategy officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Kim Spradlin (season 24, Survivor: One World)

Playing the long game, Kim Spradlin mostly kept a low profile during 2012’s *One World* installment, letting other contestants pick each other off before flexing her leadership muscles on her way to becoming Sole Survivor. Aside from her *Winners at War *encore, Spradlin also appeared on HGTV’s *Battle on the Mountain* and hosted the network’s *Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?*

These days, she works as an interior designer in San Antonio. She and her husband, Bryan Wolfe, run the Wolfe Home design firm and are raising three kids.

Denise Stapley (season 25, Survivor: Philippines)

Denise Stapley was something of a social chameleon on *Survivor: Philippines*. After continuously losing immunity challenges, she was able to emerge victorious by moving effectively within and between different groups and social circles.

After returning for *Winners at War*, she settled down in Marion, Iowa, with her husband, Brad. She has a private practice as a mental health therapist, specializing in sex therapy.

John Cochran (season 26, Survivor: Caramoan)

John Cochran got his first *Survivor *shot on the *South Pacific *edition. He fell short, but made the most of his second chance on *Caramoan* and emerged the victor.

The Harvard Law School grad ultimately focused on a career behind the camera, writing for major television shows such as *The Millers*, *Kevin Can Wait*, and *Star Trek:* *Lower Decks*.

Tyson Apostol (season 27, Survivor: Blood vs. Water)

Tyson Apostol has appeared on four *Survivor *installments (including *Tocantins*, *Heroes vs. Villains*, and *Winners at War*) but the third time was the charm as he won *Blood vs. Water* in 2013. He teamed up with his then-girlfriend, Rachel Foulger, though she was eliminated early in the game. He later proposed to her on *Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars*. They’re now married with two daughters and live in Mesa, Ariz.

These days, he has an eclectic career as a poker player, podcast host, and pickleball influencer. But he hasn’t left reality TV behind — in recent years, he competed on *The Challenge: USA *and season 3 of *House of Villains. *

Tony Vlachos (season 28, Survivor: Cagayan / season 40, Survivor: Winners at War)

A dogged, scrappy player, Tony Vlachos is one of the most celebrated *Survivor *winners of all time. His claim to fame is being the second person to win twice, being the Sole Survivor of *Cagayan* in 2014 and taking home $2 million on *Winners at War* six years later. Vlachos also competed on *Game Changers *and *Australia V The World*.

Post-*Survivor*, he mostly focused on his career as an Allendale, N.J., police officer. He and his wife, Marissa, share two kids. He recently returned to his reality TV roots by appearing on season 3 of *The Traitors *as a faithful.

Natalie Anderson (season 29, Survivor: San Juan del Sur)

Sibling rivalry is real for Natalie Anderson. She and her twin sister, Nadiya, both competed on the *San Juan del Sur* season in 2014. Nadiya was the first player eliminated, while Natalie went on to win the whole thing.

Clearly, she has solid reality TV instincts, as she came in second place on *Winners at War*. The New Jersey-based CrossFit specialist recently returned to reality TV for season 4 of *The Traitors*.

Mike Holloway (season 30, Survivor: Worlds Apart)

In the show's 30th season, Mike Holloway was the de-facto leader of the blue collar tribe, and his unflinching work ethic helped him prevail in *White Collar vs. Blue Collar vs. No Collar.* The former oil driller eventually went on to a career as a real estate broker.

In a fun bit of CBS synergy, Holloway fell in love with *Big Brother 17* contestant Meg Maley. The two got married in 2021, settling down in Texas.

Jeremy Collins (season 31, Survivor: Cambodia)

After making his franchise debut on *San Juan del Sur*, Jeremy Collins used his intense playing style to win *Cambodia* in 2015. He returned for *Winners at War* and later appeared on *The Traitors *season 3, but he never quit his day job as a firefighter in Massachusetts.

When he’s not putting out fires, he’s spending time with his wife (and fellow season 29 alum), Val, and their four children.

Michele Fitzgerald (season 32, Survivor: Kaôh Rōng)

Thanks to her quick thinking and keen social skills, Michele Fitzgerald prevailed on the show’s *Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty* edition in 2016.

Since then, she’s been fully bitten by the reality TV bug, appearing on *Winners at War* and five seasons of MTV’s *The Challenge*. The latter show is where she began dating Devin Walker, with whom she’s been in a relationship since 2024.

Adam Klein (season 33, Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X)

Adam Klein was already a superfan of the franchise, which helped him beat his elders and emerge the victor of *Millennials vs. Gen X* in 2016. While he went on to host a local Bay Area travel show, *Taiwan: Off the Grid*, Klein eventually decided to help others find stardom. He now works as a reality TV casting coach.

Sarah Lacina (season 34, Survivor: Game Changers)

It’s no surprise that Sarah Lacina laid down the law with her assertive gameplay style. Having previously competed on *Cagayan*, the Cedar Rapids police officer emerged victorious on *Game Changers* and went on to continue balancing police work with her reality TV side hustle.

Beyond returning to *Survivor *for *Winners at War*, she was the female winner of the first season of *The Challenge: USA *and went on to participate on *The Challenge: World Championship*.

She and her husband, Wyatt Wardenburg, have one son, Knox.

Ben Driebergen (season 35, Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers)

Ben Driebergen was a real underdog when *Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers* began, but he used a combination of immunity idols, strategy, and luck to become the Sole Survivor. He also competed on *Winners at War* as well as *The Challenge: USA* and *The Challenge: World Championship*.

Since then, Driebergen has worked as a real estate agent and stay-at-home dad in Boise, Idaho.

Wendell Holland (season 36, Survivor: Ghost Island)

Wendell Holland had the somewhat dubious honor of winning *Ghost Island* in 2018, the first year the Tribal Council vote ended in a tie. The third competitor in the Final Three, Laurel Johnson, cast the tiebreaking vote in Holland’s favor, defeating Domenick Abbate. He later competed on *Winners at War.*

The Penn Law graduate's career has taken him from owning his own furniture company to hosting HGTV’s *Hot Mess House*. He also appeared on *The GOAT* and *Extreme Makeover*. He lives in Philadelphia and has one child.

Nick Wilson (season 37, Survivor: David vs. Goliath)

There was something poetic about Nick Wilson winning *David vs. Goliath* in 2018. After all, he’s a former public defender, so he knows all about protecting little guys from their moneyed opponents. While Wilson later returned for *Winners at War*, his biggest achievement is leveraging his legal experience to get elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives.

He is married to Grisel Vilchez.

Chris Underwood (season 38, Survivor: Edge of Extinction)

After winning *Edge of Extinction* in 2019, Chris Underwood returned to reality TV and was once again victorious, this time on season 2 of *The Challenge: USA*.

When he’s not on the small screen, Underwood works as a sales coach. He and his wife, Kate, have two children.

Tommy Sheehan (season 39, Survivor: Island of the Idols)

Life was different for Tommy Sheehan after he won *Island of the Idols*. The elementary school teacher proposed to his girlfriend, Nicole, as soon as he returned, and the two got married in 2022.

He made his return to reality TV in 2021, joining the season 37 cast of *The Challenge.*

These days, he is the principal of Glen Head Elementary in Long Island, N.Y.

Erika Casupanan (season 41, Survivor 41)

In a real victory for our friends up north, Erika Casupanan became the first Canadian to win *Survivor *when she competed in 2021. She kept the reality TV train going by appearing on the Canadian version of *The Traitors*.

Casupanan lives in Toronto and hosts a podcast, *Happy to See Me*.

Maryanne Oketch (season 42, Survivor 42)

In May 2022, Maryanne Oketch became the second Black woman and the second Canadian to win *Survivor*. The Ontario-based science communicator later married Konner Howell in 2024 during a total solar eclipse.

That same year, she enrolled in medical school… which shares at least one thing in common with her reality TV history: It’s all about survival!

Mike Gabler (season 43, Survivor 43)

As a heart valve specialist, Mike Gabler wasn’t hurting for money when he won *Survivor 43* in 2022. As such, he did something radical with his winnings by donating it to different charities dedicated to “helping veterans, first responders, and humanity.”

Gabler lives in Meridian, Ohio, with his wife, Joanna, and their two daughters.

Yamil ‘Yam Yam’ Arocho (season 44, Survivor 44)

When “Yam Yam” won *Survivor 44* in 2023, he became the first Puerto Rican to take home the million dollar prize. Arocho has since competed on *The Traitors*, though he mostly spends his time running a beauty salon in Puerto Rico. There, he enjoys a life with his husband, Karim Sáenz. They celebrated his *Survivor *victory with a second wedding in Mexico City.

Dee Valladares (season 45, Survivor 45)

The Havana-born, Florida-raised champ later appeared on MTV's *The Challenge: Vets & New Threats*, and her continued reality stardom helped boost her career as an influencer. She combined those passions by cohosting *On Fire with Jeff Probst* for *Survivor 46*.

Kenzie Petty is a hair salon owner with a unique *Survivor* feel-good story: She postponed her wedding to compete on the show, and finally tied the knot with Jackson Petty after winning — but before the show actually aired.

One year later, the lovebirds welcomed a son into the world — and they’ve got another one on the way. The growing family lives in Charlotte, N.C.

Rachel LaMont (season 47, Survivor 47)

Rachel LaMont was perceived as a major threat by the other contestants, but winning four immunity challenges helped her emerge as the victor of *Survivor 47*. The Michigan native was the cohost of *On Fire with Jeff Probst* during the show’s subsequent season.

After the show awakened her competitive spirit, she ventured into an entirely new field: creating a puzzle-based board game called *Puzzle Hungry*.

Kyle Fraser (season 48, Survivor 48)

The ultimate schemer of *Survivor 48* was attorney Kyle Fraser, who forced his ally Kamilla Karthigesu into the firemaking challenge as part of his strategy to win it all. The tactic paid off.

In 2024, he married his law school classmate, Maggie Turner, in 2024. The two live in Brooklyn and welcomed their first child in May 2026.

Fraser returned for *Survivor 50* — but his chances at another title didn’t last long due to an injury that got him medically evacuated from the set.

Savannah Louie (season 49, Survivor 49)

Savannah Louie’s fellow castaways saw her (correctly) as a major threat. Unfortunately for them, she was able to defend herself after winning four immunity challenges, ultimately emerging as the victor of the franchise’s 49th season.

The former reporter has leaned into newfound stardom on social media, frequently answering fan questions about the show on Instagram. She went on to compete on *Survivor 50*.

Aubry Bracco (season 50, Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans)

Aubry Bracco competed on *Kaoh Rong*, *Game Changers*, and *Edge of Extinction* before finally coming out on top in the show's 50th season.

Following her win, she told EW that she wants to put away a good chunk of her $2 million prize for her son, Odin, whom she shares with her partner, Tyler Morrow.

As for the rest? "Rick Devens, buddy, we gotta talk. What restaurant? What theme park? What are we gonna do together?"
